A man who had a protection order against him filed by his ex-girlfriend was shot by her as he attempted to break into her home, according to reports. A neighbor described seeing the woman shoot the man shortly after 6 p.m., prompting her to call 9-1-1. Police found the suspect on the porch of the home, with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. He was transferred to a hospital and was treated for minor injuries before being booked for outstanding warrants. The woman, who left the scene before police arrived, claimed she fired at her ex-boyfriend in self-defense. (wkrn.com; 4/22/25; Nashville, TN)
