The Hill Names NRA Lobbyists Commerford and Speed TOP GRASSROOTS LOBBYISTS of 2025

National media outlet “The Hill” has released its "Top Lobbyists 2025" list, which is compiled annually and honors the top-performing lobbyists in Washington, D.C. This year's list recognized two NRA lobbyists, NRA-ILA Executive Director John Commerford and NRA Managing Director of Federal Affairs Gordon Speed. In response to the announcement, NRA CEO and Executive Vice President Doug Hamlin released the following statement:

“It should come as no surprise that NRA lobbyists John Commerford and Gordon Speed have been recognized as two of the most influential lobbyists on Capitol Hill,” said Hamlin. “John and Gordon’s knowledge, work ethic, and vast networks are unmatched, and they are the leading voices in all Second Amendment battles in our nation’s capital. From securing the first major repeal of National Firearms Act taxes since its inception, or returning firearm rights to our veterans, 2025 has been yet another banner year for the National Rifle Association and our members.” Hamlin continued, “On behalf of all of our members, I want to thank and congratulate them both for their well-earned recognition.”
