To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, Smith & Wesson has launched America 250 Limited Edition Model 1854 lever-action rifles.
In 1854, Smith & Wesson founders Horace Smith & Daniel Wesson patented their first lever gun and, to honor that historic milestone, the Model 1854 Series was born. Designed to embody the feel of Smith & Wesson’s revered large-frame revolvers and their smooth action, this rifle series delivers a platform built on craftsmanship, reliability, and performance.

The exclusive lever-action rifles feature exceptionally detailed engravings, available in either .44 Magnum or the time-honored .45-70 Government cartridge. Both limited-edition rifles include a traditional walnut stock and fore-end, a stainless-steel Armornite-finished barrel and receiver, a Picatinny base for mounting your preferred optics, an adjustable XS Sights ghost ring rear sight, and a gold bead front sight. The .44 Magnum model boasts a 9+1 capacity, a removable magazine tube, and a 19.25” barrel. The long-action option, the .45-70 rifle, has a 6+1 capacity and a 20” barrel. Finally, both models are equipped with a modern flat-face trigger, a large loop lever, a side loading gate, and a 11/16-24 thread pattern for suppressor use.
The America 250 Limited Edition Model 1854, blending timeless American craftsmanship with modern performance, pays homage to the spirit of independence, ingenuity and perseverance that has defined the nation since 1776. For more information, visit smith-wesson.com.
