The Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association of America (NRA), unanimously reelected Bill Bachenberg of Pennsylvania as President of the NRA, and Doug Hamlin as NRA Executive Vice President & CEO. The meeting of NRA’s Board of Directors followed the 155th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, Texas, where more than 70,000 NRA members, their families, and supporters of the Second Amendment gathered at the George R. Brown Convention Center to check out the latest guns, gear, and accessories from over 550 exhibitors—as well as attend seminars and special events that celebrated 250 years of American freedom.
“I am, once again, deeply honored to be entrusted by my colleagues on the Board to serve another term as President of the NRA,” said Bill Bachenberg, NRA President. “We have spent the past year listening to and engaging with our most important asset—NRA Members. We have committed to transparency and communication. We have established Centers of Excellence, and we continue to provide the gold-standard programs that American gun owners expect. The NRA, now its 155th year, continues to play a critical role in protecting and advancing freedom in America.
The NRA Board of Directors also unanimously reelected Mark Vaughan of Oklahoma as NRA First Vice President, Rocky Marshall of Texas as NRA Second Vice President, Mike Erstling as Treasurer and John Frazer as Secretary. Elected as NRA’s Chief Compliance Officer was Matthew Boyden.

Families, military members, first responders, and citizens from all walks of life came together in record numbers, united by shared values and traditions,” said Doug Hamlin, NRA Executive Vice President & CEO. “This gathering reflects the very best of American culture, and it underscores our continued growth and enduring role in shaping and strengthening our place in American society.”
Following Mr. Hamlin’s reelection, he reappointed John Commerford as the Executive Director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) and Josh Savani as the Executive Director of NRA General Operations.
The 2027 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 22-25, 2027.
